Amaretto Sour
This Amaretto Sour cocktail recipe highlights the flavor balance that can be achieved with Amaretto, bourbon and fresh lemon juice.
Ingredients
- •1.5 ounces amaretto liqueur (null)
- •0.75 ounce cask-proof bourbon (null)
- •freshly squeezed lemon juice (1 ounce)
- •1 teaspoon rich simple syrup (null)
- •0.5 ounce egg white (null)
- •Garnish lemon twist
- •2 null brandied cherries (Garnish)
Instructions
- Add amaretto, bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white to a shaker and dry-shake (no ice) for 15 seconds.
- Add ice and shake again until well-chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
- Garnish with a lemon twist and 2 skewered brandied cherries.
